DESCRIPTION

LEV reads continuously the slope of platform with an angle transducer and it proportionally regulates the oil flow into the two chambers of a levelling cylinder, keeping the platform in horizontal position during every conditions of work.

Control unit has two safety by-pass outputs, these positives (2AMAX) outputs are electronic card independent, the first one is active when platform slope is between from -90° to +10°.
Using by-pass outputs it is possible to obtain a safety circuit of class '1' according to EN954-1 law. Moreover these ouputs protect against wrong handmade corrections of platform slope.
An 'Oil Request' output is activated when platform slope exceeds of 1° over reference position (in both directions).
All outputs are protected against short-circuit.
Electronic card is moulded in resin; this protection defend control unit against water condense into the box.

CALIBRATION

Before using the LEV, the installer must execute auto learning procedures, where control unit stores horizontal refernce position and electric/hydraulic properties of aerial platform. Befote to execute auto learning procedures, the installer must prepare aerial platform in a way that:

  • platform must be in horizontal position
  • platform must have enough space to move, without touch the ground or other obstacles
  • oil circuit must be under pressure to move the platform

When platform is correctly opened yet, the installer must connect programming key into the internal connector and then he can switch on the control unit.
During the auto learning procedure (duration about two minutes) LEV will move slowly the platform, to store horizontal reference position, solenoid valves direction and solenoid valves opening tresholds.

Auto learning procedure will be ended only when L1 and L2 LED's will be both flashing.
At the end of the auto learning procedure, the operator must switch off the control unit, extract the programming key and then switch on again the LEV.

LEVELLING SWEETNESS CORRECTION

When levelling corrections are sudden, with many single correction action, the installer will have to regulate P1 or P3 trimming potentiometers in anticlockwise direction (adjust slowly). Otherwise if levelling corrections are too slow, the installer will have to regulate P1 or P3 trimming potentiometer in clockwise direction (adjust slowly). P1 trimming potentiometer regulates sweetness correction in one direction and P3 regulates sweetness correction in opposite direction.
The trimming potentiometer to adjust is the one near to internal LED switched on.

LEVELLING SPEED CORRECTION
Sometimes, when LEV is mounted on big dimensions aerial platforms, the installer must regulate the speed of correction, to reduce the sensivity versus structure elastic oscillation. This regulations allows to reduce platform ascillation. Adjust P5 trimming potentiometer in anticlockwise direction to reduce the speed of correction , to adapt LEV to big structure. Regulate in clockwise direction to increase speed of correction, to adapt LEV to small or rigid structure.
